Maite Zabala

I am constantly collecting elements from architectonical surfaces. By the use of visual strategies such as repetion and fragmentation, I then recombined and rearranged them in order to build new and unknown places. Even though they appear as hermetic objects, they are intended to suggest a space ‘in between’ acting as time and space thresholds and creating atmospheres of uncertainty and confusion.
